    Beautiful photo! I remember the first time I saw tree ferns in South America. I walked up to a huge one, walked under its exuberant crown of fronds and pressed close to the thick stem. I stood there gazing raptly upward at the sunlight filtering down through its prehistoric fronds lost in time. Then I felt the hundreds of ants whose route I was blocking take a detour through my blouse…
