Very interesting. I love this flower. Like to know where to find it and what name do I ask for? Flower-Paeonia delavavi, Iris sibirica “Tropical Night”.

I wonder, Are these tree peonies as tolerant to poorly drained soil or standing water as irises traditionally are? What sort of water resiliancy do they have?

Thank you for the links on theory of colour – I managed to retrieve after viewing this my copy of Rossotti’s
Colour: Why the World Isn’t Grey,
which I haven’t reread since it was published.

Sorry, all – I’m deluged with emails right now.
Lenora – yes. You might also want to specify that the Paeonia delavayi have red flowers, as it comes in other colours.
Elizabeth – I’ve no idea. I’m not a horticulturist. That’s really a better question to ask on the garden’s discussion forums.
    Karla, you’re welcome.
