Agavaceae is a probably a better family for this, and is the one suggested by the Angiosperm Phylogeny Group. Recent phylogenetic work has discovered that Anthericum and Agave are in the same clade. Anthericaceae is a J. Agardh name dating from 1858, whereas Agavaceae is a Dumortier name from 1829. So Agavaceae has priority.
