The early-flowering Erythronium grandiflorum
Yellow glacier lily from Manning Provincial Park last weekend. It started to snow while I was taking this photograph, so I was taking pictures quickly and without my usual tripod.

Your image is breathtaking, simply a wonderful shot to drink in on an excellent 24th of May weekend – thank you so much! Hello beautiful BC from southern Georgian Bay Ontario!
Hello Joanne from Georgian Bay – I think you might be pleased to know that a reproduction of Arthur Lismer’s “A September Gale” from Georgian Bay (1921) is on the wall above my computer at home (and my initial attempt at capturing a similar white pine as in the painting, albeit from Lake of the Woods, is here).
I love your photos! Please don’t ever stop. I come to your site just to de-stress or grab a moment of cheerfulness!
I really enjoy the photos they are breathtaking, I make it my desktop image everytime i recieve an email. Keep up the good work
This beauty blooms in Vermont just after sugar season in conjunction with the wild onion that we call ‘Ramps’. There is a whole bank of them in my dooryard. They are the harbingers of spring for me.
Hi, you likely have the similar-looking Erythronium americanum.
